Electrical Tracing |
Introduction:
What is the definition of (electrical) heat tracing? The used term "Heat Tracing" or "Trace Heating" refers to the continuous or intermittent application of heat transfer to a pipeline, vessel or instrument in order to replace heat loss to ambient temperature. The majority use of heat tracing include freeze or cold protection, thawing, maintaining fluids at process temperature or process viscosities, preventing fluid components from sticking or separating and preventing condensation of gases. Heat tracing may be not needed in situations of non critical processes or where heat loss to the environment can be effectively minimised by insulation or by running them through heated buildings but in cold climates or areas with severe winters for example oil pipe lines or process plant installations they often loosing the required heat causing later production problems. Process problems also occure in enviroments with high temperature differences, during daylight the temperature is convenient but at night the temperature decreases. Whatever process conditions you have in which controlling the temperature is needed we have the right solution for you.
